 Mix Coworking started in 2018 out of our own need for space to work, beginning as a tiny workspace in the heart of Clonakilty, offering the essentials: a desk, internet connection and good vibes. Following the closure and the reset of 2019, Mix Coworking applied for funding with Secad Partnership CLG (EAFRD - Europe Investing in Rural Areas - LEADER 2014-2020, West Cork LAG). With this, Mix Coworking worked with the owners of 8 Wolfe Tone Street to bring the town-centre building back to life. Secad supported with the interior fitout of the building, including the internet network, furnishings, phone booths and painting.

In 2022, Mix Coworking successfully secured a second round of funding from The Connected Hubs Fund https://connectedhubs.ie to support expanding operations with the pods and reducing energy costs through solar panels. 

It's our passion to support remote workers, professionals, freelancers, artists, company owners, and parents... all of us with a calm, positive, and reliable space to work.

We are a family team, Rachel Kelleher and Michael Kote. We have called Clonakilty home since 2017 and continue to enjoy travelling and exploring West Cork with our son 🔆 Caelan.
